Website repair for small businesses

Your website is probably not broken in one dramatic way. It is broken in twenty small ones: a contact form that goes nowhere, opening hours that disagree with Google, a menu from two years ago, a page that takes eight seconds to load on a phone. Each one quietly costs you customers. I find them, write them down in plain English, and fix them for a price agreed before I start.

What I fix

• Forms and buttons that do not work. Contact forms that never arrive, booking buttons that lead nowhere, links to pages that no longer exist.
• Wrong or conflicting details. Phone numbers, addresses, opening hours and prices that say one thing on one page and something else on another, or on Google.
• Phones. Text too small to read, buttons too close to tap, pages that scroll sideways. Most of your visitors are on a phone, so this matters more than how it looks on a laptop.
• Speed. Oversized photos, heavy plugins and things loading that nobody asked for. Slow pages lose people before they read a word.
• Google basics. Page titles, descriptions, your Google Business Profile details, and whether search engines can read the site at all.
• The legal pages. A privacy policy and cookie notice that match what your site actually does.
• The things that make a business look closed. Leftover placeholder text, broken images, a copyright line from 2019, an old menu.

How it works

1. Free check first. You send me your web address. I go through every page and send you a written report, usually within two working days. This is what one looks like.

2. You decide. Fix it yourself, hand the report to whoever built your site, or ask me to do it. The report is yours either way.

3. I fix it for a fixed price. No hourly rate and no surprise invoice.

Prices

• £185, one-off: everything marked dangerous in your report, correct contact details and opening hours everywhere, broken buttons, forms and links repaired. Done within a week.
• £340, one-off: every fault in the report, top to bottom, including speed, photos, spelling, privacy policy and cookie notice, your Google listing tidied up, and a follow-up check a month later.
• £45 a month: ongoing care. Menu, prices and hours updated when you ask, a monthly check, backups and security updates. Cancel whenever you like.

Which websites I work on

WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify and hand-built sites. If your site is on a platform where I cannot make a change myself, the report says so and tells you exactly what to ask your provider for.

Questions people ask

How much does it cost to fix a website?

Most small business sites fall into one of two fixed prices: £185 for the urgent faults or £340 for the whole list. The free check comes first, so you know exactly what is wrong and what it costs before you agree to anything.

Do I need to give you my passwords for the free check?

No. The check only looks at what any visitor can see. You only share access if you decide you want me to make the fixes.

Can you fix a website someone else built?

Yes. That is most of the work. You do not need the original developer, and the report is written so that anyone can follow it, including them.

How long does a repair take?

The urgent fixes are done within a week of you saying yes. The full list usually takes one to two weeks, depending on how quickly any logins or photos come through.
